About Nitro Tutoring

Hello! My name is Alejandro and I graduated cum laude from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Marine Science while completing pre-medical coursework.

As a STEM tutor and former university Teaching Assistant (TA), I specialize in helping high school and college students strengthen their understanding of math and science and prepare for challenging exams. My academic recognitions include the Royal Society of Chemistry Certificate of Undergraduate Excellence, the Linda Farmer Endowed Research Award, and placement on the Provost’s Honor Roll every semester during my time at the University of Miami.

Through my own experience studying for demanding science courses and admissions exams, I developed an approach centered on efficient, active learning. Rather than relying on passive reading or long lectures, my sessions emphasize active recall and targeted practice problems.

My goal is not simply to help students memorize what they need for the next test. I want them to understand the logic behind the material and develop study strategies they can continue using independently.
